Do You Have A Case

Joshua Diamond, Attorney and Shareholder

For the last 18 years, Joshua Diamond has been representing Vermont businesses and individuals in matters pertaining primarily to Civil Litigation, Utility Law, Labor and Employment Law, Consumer Fraud, Administrative Law, Personal Injury, Divorce and Civil Rights. He has achieved successful outcomes for his clients in a thoughtful, responsive, and dedicated manner.

Joshua is recognized by Super Lawyers as one of New England’s Rising Stars. He received the prestigious Jonathan Chase Award for Cooperating Attorney from the American Civil Liberties Union (Vermont Affiliate) in 1997, 2000, and 2006, and served as its President for three years. He currently serves on the Electric Cooperative Bar Association’s National Advisory Board, and has presented on the topics of Constitutional Law before the Vermont Bar Association, Drug Testing in the Workplace for the National Business Institute.

Joshua’s outstanding litigation work has produced far-reaching effects for the state of Vermont. In 1997, he served as Co-Counsel in Brigham v. State, which established equal educational opportunities for all children in Vermont, and was part of a team that successfully challenged Vermont’s campaign finance law in 2000. In 2004, he obtained regulatory approval for the largest landfill gas-to-electric generation facility in the state. In 2010, Joshua successfully obtained an inclining rate structure for Washington Electric Cooperative,  and in 2011 he successfully argued the case that obtained and secured power from Hydro-Quebec in Vermont.

Joshua also works to protect the livelihoods of hard-working Vermonters. Over the years, he has defended workers in wrongful termination cases with successful results.  In 2010, he co-tried a case that recovered nearly a $1,000,000 judgment for his client. He has litigated dozens of cases for individuals involving Family Law, Civil Rights, Consumer Fraud, Personal Injury and Employment Law.

When not in the office, Joshua can be found serving as a member of the Williston School Board, serving as a director for the Cochran’s Ski Area, as well as skiing and spending time with his wife and two children.
